Kanakis I. Geronymakis

This book is, of course, my own work. However, the inspiration for publishing this material was not originally mine. On September 27, 2004, an exhibition of my naïve paintings opened, featuring works that depicted traditional occupations and the life of the mountainous countryside. At the exhibition’s opening ceremony, the presenters were Professor Vasileios Tomadakis of the University of Athens and Maria Kalogeraki, author and producer of programs on Kydon TV. Also speaking about my work were George Katsanevakis, Prefect of Chania, and Dr. Pinelopi Doundoulaki, then Cultural Affairs Advisor of the Prefecture and now Deputy Prefect.
