Various Tasks

Apart from his main occupation, the peasant of the mountainous countryside often engaged in other occasional labors. He went fishing, gathered snails, or went hunting. He might also take on some extra day’s work if he found any and had the time. All these activities cannot be classified as professions, since one does not pursue them systematically, but we can nonetheless describe them.
